Going to the Sun Road

As one of my first paintings in the National Park Series, Going to the Sun Road began my exploration of the impact nature has on humanity. The painting shows an expansive mountainside with a tiny road winding through it, emphasizing just how small we seem compared to the larger-than-life slopes of Glacier National Park. I wanted to capture that feeling of being surrounded by something so massive and powerful that it puts our own size and presence into perspective.
